If you were following the fashion weeks as closely as we were, you may have noticed Scottish designer Holly Fulton’s most sophisticated collection yet for this autumn.

Known for her graphic designs stamped in an art-deco style across luxurious materials in simple shapes, Holly has risen through the ranks of London Fashion Week to become one of the most anticipated shows, growing more refined though the seasons. Her AW14 outing consisted of 1920s imagery and patterns with a modern geometric feel that has become her signature, in muted nude, pastel, grey and burgundy shades. The whole collection is stunning, but what really caught our eye was the hand motifs adorned with bracelets and bangles.

Inspired by the working woman’s wardrobe, Holly used the idea of hands in her collection because her own are very important to her, being the tools she works with every day. Jewelled chains, cuffs and watches were stacked Sareli style across the body, complete with scarlet nails, mobile phone and a set of keys, giving a retro feel to straight dresses and slouchy sweaters. Finish off the look with a pair of bold, ornamental earrings and you have a masterclass in how jewellery meets fashion.

Only a few hours to go, the countdown is almost over, venues across London will soon come to life with fashionistas, bloggers and buyers all looking for that new fashion pieces and trends to inspire for the coming season. While others myself included will simply be asking, “which celebs are going to be perched on the front row”? Here at Sareli Jewellery we love the anticipation of what the new season will bring. We are always inspired by the trends, colours and textures of each season and use this to create new pieces to add to the Sareli Collection.

We have selected a few of our favourite designers to follow closely over the next week. For many Sareli regulars none of these will surprise, some phenomenal British Brands – Mulberry, Issa, Hunter Original & Anya Hindmarch.

Let’s start with the classic icon Mulberry. Since Emma Hill left last September Mulberry have struggled to find a new Creative Director and as such explained they would not be staging an AW14 cat work but intriguingly would be involved in fashion week in some way! This morning we received a somewhat cryptic email hidden amongst the “sales” and scams we receive everyday, from Mulberry themselves simply reading #seeyousunday. Attached was a video with the stunning Cara Delevinge (one has to wonder when the Cara bag will be hitting our streets) walking around a London station before heading into a cab. Who knows what surprise will be hitting London on Sunday but whatever it is I am sure Mulberry and Cara will be bringing us a treat!

Next to Hunter Original! Coming from a farming background Hunter Wellies have always been part of my life. They were the good old green original colour yet I did experiment with baby pink Hunters in university days. Hunters are no longer for those living in the countryside or an integral part of the farmers day to day work outfit they are a fashion staple!  You cannot go into any high end department store without seeing a pair that would satisfy anyone taste – the choices are endless. Like great British brands Mulberry, Burberry and Barbour it could be argued Hunter are going through a change in focus, where better to carry this off than at this seasons LFW AW14. Hunter’s Creative Director, husband to Stella McCartney no less, will be showcasing a new clothing range along with the wellington boots which could turn them from commercial brand to a global phenomenon.

Monday afternoon will play host to London based brand Issa. Established by Daniella Helayel’s Issa created incredibly stunning and beautifully flattering pieces that women simply love to wear. Issa always had a great following among fashion lovers but was catapulted into global stardom when Kate Middleton wore a sapphire blue jersey dress in her engagement photographs to Prince William. It’s not just royalty who are in love with the brand, it’s a celeb favourite too from Kylie to Miranda Kerr, Beyonce to Eva Mendez the Issa print creations are a must for any glamorous lady! With so many changes behind the scenes at Issa in the last year, let hope it remembers it roots and continues to bring real women their perfect dress!

Last but no means least Anya Hindmarch. Tuesday sees the innovative and thoroughly entertaining show hitting LFW.  We were huge fans of the SS14 “Out of this World” theme but our favourite without doubt has to be Anya’s first ever collection at LFW back in AW12 the “All I’ve ever wanted” collection bringing together a colourful, fun, mechanical chitty chitty bang theme, with sparkles, led light up clothes and stunning quality street key rings you just wanted to eat. If you only watch one show this fashion week, I would recommend Anya’s you will not be disappointed.

So what are you waiting for, you have seen Sareli’s favourite brands for this AW14 fashion week, but there are so many other amazing designers to check out. You have five days of fun coming up, so if like us you can’t be there in person remember most of the brands offer a feature to watch their shows live. Check out for full schedule, happy viewing let get inspired!

Just had the most loveliest email sent through from Natalie, a beautiful bride who I had great fun with designing bespoke wedding jewellery ,

“Sarah created some beautiful bespoke bracelets and earrings for my bridesmaids, each with a variation to reflect their own individual style. It was important for me to design a gift that was personal to each friend to show how special they were and in a style they would continue to wear. I had spent some time hunting around for a place that offered this within a reasonable budget and only wish I had found Sarah sooner. The design process was not only straightforward but really enjoyable (a blessing in-between the rest of the wedding planning) and Sarah removed any stress turning my designs around in a tight timescale. I would highly recommend Sareli Jewellery so much so I returned to create my own bracelet!”

Nat will be sending over another picture of the bridesmaids jewellery but in the mean time we have a stunning picture of happy couple.

Congratualations Mr & Mrs Bedworth

Sareli Wedding Jewellery

Julia has been a friend for many years from university days and I was delighted when she asked me to create a pearl bracelet for her big day in Bedar,Spain.  After speaking, I decided to send her a couple of designs all focusing around a pearl and silver theme. Julia loved all of the pieces but decided upon an oval pearl and sterling silver bracelet, which went perfectly with a pearl necklace Tony and bought at an earlier date. The bracelet was a bespoke design made especially for Julia but has proved to be popular enough to go into the Sareli Wedding Collection, so in Julia’s honour it will now be called the “Julia”.

Julia also decided that a pair of the Sareli pearl drop earrings would be perfect for a wedding thank you gift to her hairdresser on the day. The bride has said both herself and her hairdresser have never stopped wearing them, showing the versatility of pearl and silver pieces and proving that you are not just getting a piece for the day but a piece of handmade jewellery which you can continue to wear, providing you with a constant reminder of your special day.

Congratulations Julia & Tony
